We are a small, independent gathering of Christian believers who have been meeting together from house to house in the greater Cleveland and Akron area since 2020. 

We affirm the historic orthodox creeds of Christianity, including the Apostles' Creed and Nicene Creed. We believe the Bible is the highest authority for determining church doctrine and practice, informed by the guidance and help of the Holy Spirit, who we believe is present in all born-again believers.

What Should I Expect From Your Meetings?

We meet on Sunday evenings, "from house to house." That means that on any given week we gather in the homes and yards of those members of our church family who have chosen to open their space for that purpose. 

We open our gatherings with prayer and worship through songs, testimonies, and Bible reading, culminating with Communion, or the Lord's Table, which is available to all born-again believers. After this, we usually enjoy teaching or group Bible study and sharing, followed by a pot luck fellowship meal. 

Who is Your Pastor?

While we believe that the Bible affirms pastoral ministry as a calling held by some Christians, we do not have a "pastor" in the sense of a church leader who is elevated above other members of the church. We instead believe that the Holy Spirit raises up elders and deacons to teach, oversee, encourage, and help with administration, taking to heart the description of Ephesians 4:16 of the church as a unit "being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part... for the building up of itself in love."

What Style of Worship do You Have?

We enjoy singing songs from throughout the history and geography of the church, from original music to traditional hymns to modern songs of praise and worship. We have no fixed order of worship but instead encourage all to participate by requesting songs and sharing prayers, scriptures, or testimonies during our worship time together, as led by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:26).

Are You Part of a Particular Denomination or House Church Movement?

It is our conviction that to join any specific denomination or movement would be a de facto separation from other believers who are not part of that movement. We are independent, although we are in communication and fellowship with other similar-minded groups across the world. All Christians, from the moment of salvation, are part of the Body of Christ, which cannot be divided or split. As much as it lies with us, we welcome fellowship with all born-again believers in Jesus, regardless of differences in doctrine or practice. 

Do You Have Child Care?

We believe that church meetings should be a family-friendly time. Children are welcome to participate in our meetings in ways that are age-appropriate and express their own unique relationships with God. We encourage children to join our times of worship by singing, dancing, asking questions, et cetera. During our teaching times, we usually provide either a Sunday school lesson, video time, or outdoor playtime for younger children and older children who struggle to self-regulate during quiet times.
