Prayer Retreat FAQ

What is the cost to attend?

There is no charge to attend the prayer retreat; financial hardship should not be a barrier to participation.

We estimate our total out-of-pocket expenses for the retreat will come to approximately $2,100. We ask all attendees to pray seriously about whether the Lord would have them contribute toward defraying this cost, but there is no payment requirement or suggested minimum donation.

What is the address for the prayer retreat?

The prayer retreat will be held at:

Eagle Cabin

334 E. High St.,

Flushing, Ohio

43977

Please note that cell phone data may be limited in rural areas, depending on your carrier. You may want to save or print driving directions in case you lose connectivity while en route.

Will meals be provided?

Yes! All meals will be provided from Friday night dinner through Monday morning. You can use the form above to specify if you have any food allergies or other dietary needs.

Will I be able to have a private room?

We have a limited number of private rooms. We ask that you be as flexible as possible but please let us know if the lack of a private room would make it impossible for you to attend and we will do our best to accommodate you.

What should I expect? What is the schedule?

We are still finalizing the schedule for this year's retreat. Our previous retreat included dedicated blocks of time set aside for worship, intensive and focused group prayer, rest, private/individual prayer and retreat, fellowship/recreation, and meals.

We will be staying in an air-conditioned cabin with a full kitchen, several full bathrooms, and a hot tub. Wi-fi is avilable. The cabin is located at a nature retreat and RV park that offers hiking trails and kayak rentals.

What should I pack?

Linens will be provided, but you are welcome to bring any personal bedding items you need to be comfortable.

We strongly suggest you pack:

  • A bible

  • Journaling supplies, if you use them

  • Toiletries and personal items

  • Slippers for indoors

  • Comfortable clothes

  • Appropriate shoes/gear for hiking or outdoor activities if you intend to participate

  • Insect repellent and sun screen if you intend to be outdoors

  • An umbrella or rain coat in case of inclement weather

In addition, you may want to bring:

  • Snacks or drinks to share

  • A musical instrument, if you play one

  • Small arts or crafts projects you may enjoy working on during quiet times

  • Board games, card games, or puzzles

  • Bathing suit and extra towel
